Re-creation of Uri Tzaig’s 2 Ball Basketball Game
A recreation of Uri Tzaig’s two ball basketball game titled Desert (1996). During the basketball game, two teams of five will play with two balls.
Description from Uri Tzaig: "My basic approach was not to direct the scene / image - rather to see / learn / what comes up - when I only add another ball to the same game frame.
Description from the Walker Art Center: "The artifice
and rigidity of the standard game are exposed in Desert (1996) when Tzaig introduces two balls into a game of basketball. Viewers are confronted with the problem of having no common focal point. The linearity of the game is interrupted, and new choreography is introduced."
